Executive Producer

Role and Purpose:
As the Executive Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of our AAA title. You will work closely with the core development team, prototype team and stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership and vision will be crucial in driving the success of the game.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development team, providing clear direction and maintaining a cohesive vision for the project. You will have the ability to be flexible, and the ability to be firm, and to know best when to employ those traits.
- Oversee all aspects of game production, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. You will help set and measure milestones and their acceptance, alongside any other relevant project KPIs.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring transparent and effective communication. You will also interface with other relevant departments at Flix, to ensure delivery and project support throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Ensure that the game meets the highest quality standards through rigorous testing and feedback processes.
- Deeply understand the game’s vision, ensure the game is fun, and make sure that the entertainment of the title is enforced as the highest priority throughout development.
- Identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, mentoring and supporting team members to achieve their best.
- Keep informed of current industry trends and competitor products, to ensure the game remains competitive and innovative.
- Oversee all post-launch activities, including updates, patches, and community engagement.
- Be the external face of the product, participating in interviews and attending events to represent Flix and the title.
- Work with the existing production team to ensure that they are being effective, and growing their responsibilities on the project. You will hold them, and yourself, accountable for successful delivery.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in game development, 5 years experience in a leadership role on AAA titles, and at least 2 shipped AAA titles as Senior or Executive Producer, or equivalent.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Have a deep and tested understanding of Agile development practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Have a current knowledge of next-generation console platforms and development practices.
- Experience with multiple game development platforms and engines.
- Deep understanding and passion for video games and the gaming industry.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with external partners and vendors, in a co-development environment.
- Experience growing a project from the prototype/pre-Alpha stage, through to full production and release.
- Experience shipping on current generation consoles and PC.
- Passion for open world titles.
